Teens:
If you are at least 15 years old, you can simply call our registration number at (414) 328-1212 during normal office hours, or you can enroll online. To enroll online for the Hybrid Classroom, choose the package you wish to enroll in, view the locations and select the date of your choice and complete the online registration form. Or, simply call our registration number at (414) 328-1212.
If you enroll in our Online Classroom, you will NOT need to choose a classroom location.
You must be a minimum of 15 years of age to receive your temporary permit and a minimum of 16 years of age to receive a driver's license.
Your son/daughter will need to take the MV3001 form provided by Arcade Drivers School. In addition to that your son/daughter will also need to take a certified copy of their birth certificate or a valid US passport. In addition to that your son/daughter will also need to take their Social Security card or valid photo student ID card from their High School.
If your child is enrolled in the 30 hours of online coursework, the entire 30 hours of online instruction will need to be completed before the MV3001 permit application form can be issued.
No matter how old your child is (under 18) when they get their instruction permit, they must drive with that instruction permit for 6 months.
They must be 15 years old, AND have taken or are taking the classroom portion , AND have their instruction permit. Then they can schedule their behind the wheel lessons. The first lesson must be scheduled within the first 60 days of your child receiving their instruction permit.
All you have to do is call our main office at (414) 328-1212 and let them know you have to cancel and reschedule. This must be done at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment or you will be charged a "no show" fee.
Your son or daughter will be given all the instruction on scheduling their behind the wheel lessons. We believe that driving a car is a huge responsibility, so please start by having your son or daughter schedule their own lessons.
Behind the wheel lessons CANNOT be cancelled via email or text message.
Your son or daughter will take on average a lesson every 7 to 14 days. This allows the student to practice what they were taught with a parent. If you schedule a lesson every 7 to 14 days you will be completed in about 3 months. A student must complete all six lessons prior to taking their road test. Remember, they must have their instruction permit for 6 months.
Your son or daughter can complete the state requirements with our driver’s education program. The minimum requirements of 6 hours of Behind the Wheel Training and 6 Hours of observation, can be completed once a student provides a completion certificate showing that the entire classroom has been completed. Once this is provided to our school, you can receive the form so that the student can take their permit test at the DMV, or they can come to our main office and take the test and then proceed to the DMV to receive the temporary permit once passing the test. (A 125.00 deposit is required to receive the MV3001 permit application form).
All completion certificates are filed electronically through the Department of Transportation in about 7 to 10 business days of completing the final behind the wheel, and the student has completed all the other requirements of the state required course.
At the Department of Transportation it will cost you $35.00 for the Temporary Permit.
Unfortunately, anyone under the age of 18 years of age must be enrolled and attending a Driver’s Education Program in order to receive a temporary permit.
Arcade Drivers School 30 hours of online classroom instruction is a self-paced course. Students can begin the course the same day as enrollment. By WI State Law a student cannot work on the online course more than 2 hours per day, however, the student can complete online instruction any day of the week. Students will have 90 days to complete the online course. After the online course expires, a student can extend the course an additional 30 days, however, there is a $25.00 fee to do so.
We recommend choosing the 30 hours of Online Classroom Only if your child does not intend on completing behind the wheel instruction with Arcade Drivers School. Arcade Drivers School will not issue a MV3001 (permit application form) to any student not completing behind the wheel training with our school.
Our office is OPEN Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Our office is CLOSED on the following holidays:
Once your child has received their temporary permit, please have him/her contact our office as soon as possible to schedule the first appointment. While developmental and behavior issues coupled with inexperience impact teen crash risk, parents play a critical role in helping teens survive their most dangerous driving years.” ~ Governors Highway Safety Association
Coaching from the Passenger Seat is a pre-license course for parents or guardians who are supervising their new drivers during the learner’s permit phase. This online course includes 12 essential lessons to guide you as the parent of a new driver from the first discussion to lay the ground rules all the way to the day they go for their license. This is a self-guided course and you can go through the course at your own pace to match your teen’s progress based on how many hours you can commit or how quickly your teen moves through the stages of driving development.
This revolutionary course is one of the first post-license online courses for new drivers. Every two weeks after starting to drive on their own, your new driver will receive a short video lesson that will reinforce the defensive driver training they received from Arcade. This type of "spaced-learning" which introduces small "bite-size" chunks of information at regular intervals has been shown to dramatically increase retention of information. In studies of high-risk drivers the average first year collision rates have been shown to improve by 35%. Video lessons have been used to deliver important information the way young people learn best in an engaging manner to keep them interested!
Arcade will provide your teen with the best classroom, online and behind the wheel instruction; but the supervised driving practice they do with you will give them the experience they need to succeed!
Our parent care courses will help you practice with them in a systematic way and keep them aware even after they start driving on their own. To take advantage of these great resources choose a package that includes the parent care courses.
Powered by the Coaching New Drivers learning platform, the Parent Care Program from Arcade Drivers School has been designed to ensure that your new driver receives the most complete driver education available on the market today!
The program consists of two online courses developed in association with Mike Pehl, a 30 year veteran crash investigator and driving educator, to address the top danger zones causing novice driver collisions as determined by the Centers for Disease Control (cdc.gov). These danger zones include:
The first course, Coaching from the Passenger Seat will walk you through the proper steps in supervising your new driver from the first discussion all the way to licensing day and beyond. Mike's engaging manner and straight forward instruction make it easy for you and your teen to enjoy this course and the process.
The second course, Danger Zone Training for the new driver uses spaced-learning techniques for maximum retention of important information. Your teen will receive a new online lesson each month dealing with the top causes of novice driver collisions and how to avoid being involved in one. Keep them engaged and aware with this informational and valuable course.
This program will definitely help you, their primary driving coach, prepare them for a lifetime of safe, responsible and confident driving before and after they receive their license!
